Delicately painted and with good over glaze enamel coloring, make this exquisite fan shaped wall pocket stand out with quality. Very white porcelain Chinese wall pocket in the shape of a closed fan and decorated in a design is of a duck near shore swimming with leaves floating on the water. Overhead is a wisteria branch with lovely purple flowers hanging down. The design uses two shades of green, purple, brown and blue over glaze enamels, and black is used for line delineation and outline. The painting is very well done with tiny outlining of branches leaves and even the ducks feathers. It has been very realistically painted. The back has a rectangular hole for hanging this wall pocket. The outside has a thick white glaze that shines and has a very smooth feel. The over glaze enamels are not as smooth feeling, as is the white body. The inside of the wall pocket is unglazed with a rough bisque feel. The mouth of the vase is also unglazed. There are writings on both sides in black characters with a red seal mark and a red character.MEASUREMENTS 6 3/8a€ (16.2 cm) long x 3 3/8a€ (8.7 cm).
