The surrounding cavetto has repeating panels with floral scenes. The back has a simple floral design. The designs were painted with a dark blue cobalt and then glazed with a thick white glaze. The foot ring is cut and unglazed. The base is glazed. You can see the pottera€?s wheel marks under the glaze. There is a Fu symbol surrounded by a double blue ring on the base. The Fu symbol brings good luck and fortune.
