Hand potted Chinese tea bowl with a pale blue thin glaze that approximates a color of a bluish jade.A thinly potted low fired ceramic bowl that has been glazed in a thin bluish color. The bowl rests on a shallow unglazed foot. The mouth is also not glazed and shows a buff color ceramic. You can see the pottera€?s wheel marks in the clay. The glaze color is a light blue green color and has pooled darker around the foot. The glaze still feels soft and smooth, even though it is thin. The glaze looks shiny.MEASUREMENTS 3 ??a€ (9.5 cm) diameter x 2 1/8a€ (5.4 cm) tall. Weighs 2.9 oz (80 g)CONDITION There are two hairline cracks. One crack runs from the rim and one is a percussion mark. There is wear in the central well of the bowl. The rim shows tiny nicks. The foot has been chipped from the sager. There are kiln flaws in the glaze like dimple separations and a few a few black spots. For being so old, the glaze still looks bright and shiny. An amazing little tea bowl that has survived in such good shape for so many years. I love the pale bluish color that approximates a jade stone.___________________Item ID: Por-1717
