A rare Victorian Iroquois wall pocket handmade from cardboard covered with red wool and edged with a ruffled red fabric. The outside of the pocket and inside upper surface have nearly matching floral designs made from beads. The beading is typical with raised multiple bead layers. Brown felt has been stitched on to form leaves. The flowers are raised white and clear beads with red bead centers. Small metallic beads are used to form tendrils. There is a red loop at the top for the piece to hang. The back has an oil cloth like fabric.MEASUREMENTS 12 ??a€ (31.8 cm) tall x 10 ??a€ (26.7 cm) wide x 4a€ (10.2 cm) thick. Weighs 11.6 oz (330 g)CONDITION There are beads missing from the metallic tendrils on the outer lower pocket. There are metallic beds missing from a tendril on the upper pocket. There are holes and stitching loss on the ribbon edge near the top red loop. There is stitching loss near the base of the pocket and on parts of the ruffle edge. There are tears and losses on the fabric on the back. You can see the card board underneath.
