Very large striking, very old Donatello Roseville bowl.Ceramic large low bowl by Roseville pottery with a well-molded repeating Italianate design of a flag bearer, a scribe, and a bust on a stand. Trees frame these repeating frieze designs. There is an egg and dart motif around the mouth and the base. The green, cream and brown glaze is smooth and soft. There is crazing on the cream glaze, which shows on the interior and the base of the bowl. You see mold lines in two trees on the bowl edge. The bowl feels quite heavy in the hand.There are no manufacture marks or labels.MEASUREMENTS 10 ??a€ (26.0 cm) diameter x 3a€ (7.6 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lb 2.8 oz (1.45 kg)CONDITION The bowl has no rim chips, cracks, or breaks. There is crazing to the cream interior and base. There is a small chip or kiln flaw to one of the bust bases. There are kiln flaws such as dimples, spots, and bumps.This bowl with its size and age will make a great addition to your Roseville collection.
