Exceptionally fine miniature painting from a Bhagavata Purana. Here, the ideal King Rama is sitting in a noble carriage being pulled by two white horses and steered by Krishna. The blue incarnation of Vishnu is wearing a golden halo and the carriage is extensively gilded. The whole image is framed by an intricate floral, decorative pattern. The painting also features a beautiful composition of blossoms and birds with extensive goldwork on the right side.
