H :40cm W :36cm This Northern Wei Dynasty Painted Stone Stele with Three Buddhist Figures is exquisitely crafted. As a Buddhist stele of the Northern Wei Dynasty, it is made of stone with full relief carvings. The main Buddha sits cross-legged, with a slender and elegant face and simple, smooth drapery lines; the attendant bodhisattvas on both sides have relaxed postures, and the apsara patterns above are vivid. Original polychrome painting (partially preserved) fully demonstrates the "slender bone and clear image" artistic style and exquisite carving-painting standards of Buddhist statues in the Northern Wei period. Despite slight weathering after a thousand years, it remains a fine Northern Wei stele statue.
