The silver framework is richly chased with scrolling foliate relief mouldings, framing multiple oval enamel cartouches hand-painted in fine miniature detail with classical mythological scenes featuring putti, nymphs and satyrs within pastoral landscapes. The curved handle terminates in a fully modelled polychrome enamel cherub finial, with additional decorative enamel detailing covering the flared spout, neck, pedestal foot and domed shoulder. A supreme example of late Austro-Hungarian decorative silverware, with crisp intact miniature enamel painting and original chased silver patina.
