goldsmiths Casini Gaetano and Giuseppe, French occupation punches in use from 1809 to 1814, lower part with faceted trunk resting on a circular base decorated with Impero palmettes, upper part with two shaped arms chiselled with vegetal patterns centered by an imperial eagle, 37x38x13 cm.The first traces of Casini are from 1808 when he enrolled in the Chamber of Commerce to practice the profession of goldsmith and jeweler on the Ponte Vecchio. We know that it is already active in 1810. It is mentioned in the Napoleonic industrial census of 1811. In the General Tuscan Cadastre of 1882 it is reported as the owner of a workshop located on the Ponte Vecchio. In 1841 he was listed as a "goldsmith and owner" of 71 years among the parishioners of the people of Santa Felicita.
