The jade plaque is delicately inlaid with mother of pearl and other hardstones depicting three boys at play amongst trees in a fenced garden, the reverse is decorated with gilt of a scene of scholar in a mountainous landscape. The plaque fits on an intricately carved wood stand which is supported by a large recumbent spinach-jade buffalo. Overall height: 38 cm. high The jade screen: 24.5 cm. high, 15 cm. wide The bull: 22 cm. wide Condition: The screen: small chips to the extremities The bull appears to be in overall good condition The wood with some tiny chips.
