A Large Blue and White Porcelain 'Dragon and Phoenix' Moon Flask late qing dynasty the heavily potted body of circular form, raised on a short straight foot, surmounted by a recessed neck flanked by a pair of blue glazed kuilong-form handles, each side painted with a dragon and a phoenix in profile chasing a flaming pearl amongst clouds, enclosed by lotus scrolls and between a ruyi band and rows of lappet leaves, the mouth and the foot decorated with rushing waves, the underside incised with an apocryphal Qianlong six-character mark in underglaze blue.
