青玉蟾蜍砚滴 明代或者前后 拍品尺寸：20x11.8x7cm 重量：1516g 拍品来源：北美裔族人 收藏品。水注，也称“水滴”、“砚滴”。是古代文人磨墨时用来装水、滴水的文具，注水于砚面供研墨之用，有嘴的叫“水注”，无嘴的叫“水丞”。《西京杂记》载：“晋灵公冢……惟玉蟾蜍一枚，大如拳，腹空，容五合水，光润如新，王取以为书滴。”宋、元时期水注较为盛行，以浙江龙泉窑和景德镇青白釉制品为丰富，器形有方、圆、立瓜、卧瓜、双桃、莲房、蒂叶、茄壶、牧童、罗汉骑兽、双鸳卧牛飞蟾诸式，也常做辟邪、蟾蜍、天鸡等动物形状。蟾蜍是吉祥的形象，往往与宫廷祥和昌盛相关，以蟾蜍为形象制作的玉文具并不常见，此件蟾蜍玉砚滴玉质为青白玉，水丞作蟾蜍伏卧状，蟾蜍口衔一小盘，前，后腿及下颚两侧皆饰翼形纹。蟾蜍全身采用阴阳线相间的雕刻方式，整体吉祥，庄重有力量。蟾蜍的背正中有圆口，鼓腹构成了玉砚滴的器身，文气中带有了皇家的气象。此件玉蟾蜍整器选料上乘，雕工精湛细腻，蟾蜍双眼镶嵌猫眼石作为装饰，望之晶莹剔透，精致可爱，其伏卧状极生动，是一件上佳的艺术品。--------------------------------Jade Toad Water Cheng Ming or earlier or Later Ming Dynasties.
