Ming Dynasty Yongle Period Blue & Iron Red Underglazed Porcelain Jar W/Fu Lion & Lucky Coin Motif (Has Four Character Archaic Reign Mark) - This stunning porcelain jar was made during the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, and has a globular body with a cylindrical neck with flaring rim and two handles on the body. This piece was likely produced at the Jingdezhen kilns due to the magnificent quality and high attention to detail. The jar is elaborately decorated in vibrant cobalt blue and iron red underglazes with blue fu lions among iron red lucky coins and smoke wisps. The jar bears the four character archaic reign mark of the Yongle emperor on the body just below the neck. Measurements: 11.5"H x 9"W.
