Thailand, Sawankhalok or Sukhothai, ca 14th century. Gorgeous and quite adorable pottery water pitcher covered with mottled green glaze. Vessel is in an almost kendi shape with spooled lid, 8 ringed handles attached along upper shoulder, spout is in the form of an elephant with raised trunk, handle is in the form of a dragon, its mouth firmly grasping the upper lid. A wonderful example! Size: 6.5" W x 7" H (16.5 cm x 17.8 cm)
