Pre-Columbian, Colima, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. These are three flat, cone-headed pottery figures that are of complementary sizes and look excellent next to each other. Such enigmatic figures, found within the shaft tombs sunk beneath residences in Colima from this time period, continue to baffle collectors and archaeologists alike; however, their artistry is unmistakeable. Size of largest: 2" W x 3" H (5.1 cm x 7.6 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private collection of Dr. Peter Arnowick Coll., CA, Collected before 1970.
