Description: A Chinese Qing Period 19th Century Pierced Carved And Lacquered Altar Table
Plain red/brown lacquer top (degraded) on well carved and pierced skirt with trestle legs (small part missing).
Provenance: Brought to New Zealand by a family escaping from Singapore before the WWII battle with the Japanese on 15th Feb 1942. They have been here ever since and in storage for the last twenty years.
