Dia.: 36,5 cm Inscribed in the center of the dish: Masoud Mirza Zil al-Sultan, in the year A.H. 1287 (1870) Prince Masoud Mirza Yamin al-Dawla Zill al-Sultan (1850 – 1918) was the oldest son of Nasr el-Din Shah, who became the Qajar governor of Ispahan in 1872. He was renown for his cruelty and for destroying a number of Safavid period palaces.
