The vessel is decorated with two qilin handles to the neck and shoulder, and stands on three mythical beast legs. The body is decorated with lotus scrolls below a lappet band at the shoulder. The domed cover is decorated with pierced lotus scrolls and is surmounted by a qilin finial. There is an apocryphal Xuande mark to base.
Condition: There is a small area of old repair or casting flaw by the qilin finial of the cover (approx. 1 cm.).
There is wear to the gilding and minor dents.
