Description: A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE DISH TOGETHER WITH A CELADON BOWL ONE CHENGHUA/HONGZHI PERIOD, THE OTHER 1643-1646.
The blue and white dish decorated with a Buddhistic lion to the centre, and a band of scrolling lotus to the reverse, Chenghua/Hongzhi period. The small celadon dish from the Hatcher cargo with incised decoration of a peony to the centre, ribbed decoration to the cavetto, with a countersunk unglazed base, 1643-1646.
