Ca. 18th century stele depicting Hari Hari or Vishnu stood atop Nandi. Vishnu is both world protector and preserver, restorer of moral order - he is all-powerful and all-pervasive by nature. Nandi was born out of the right side of Vishnu resembling Shiva exactly. Hence his depiction here. The rear of the stele is inscribed with multiple lines of sanskrit text. The stele does not appear to be dated. The stele without the wood base measures 35cm x 20cm x 5cm (or 31cm tall excluding its locator). Loose mounted to a wood base (later).
