A SOUTH EAST ASIAN GILT ORANGE AND RED LACQUER TEAK SADAIK SCROLL OR DOCUMENT MONASTERY CHEST, BURMESE, ATTRIBUTED TO KONBAUNG DYNASTY (1752-1885), the rectangular top with cavetto edge, over a gilt over maroon lacquer case with folk and Buddhist imagery, the front panel with two brother figures of Nats over two mythological beasts centering a fall front door mounted with a gilt bronze cow pull, the sides and the back with a repeated scene from the life of Buddha within a zodiac motif, the interior painted with orange lacquer, and mounted by four flanking wrought iron pole rings, door painted with Burmese script.
