A GLAZED STONEWARE CANDLE HOLDER

China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), c. 18th-19th century
Broad, saucer-shaped foot, the pillar in form of a baluster vase, neck integrated with a torus. The pan has three little grain areas from firing props. Beautiful dark green glaze, almost black on deep places, compact craquelé. Firing opening on unglazed bottom and maker’s mark in relief.
