16 leaves in finest partly figurative depiction featuring elaborate open-work; deep relief on the outer ribs. Both sides show richly figurative scenes with high dignitaries in a palace. Painted silk is applied to all costumes; further all faces with painted, most delicately cut platelets of presum. ivory. Borders on both sides feature objects from the Treasures as well as Buddhist Taoism, like endless knots, lotus blossoms, bats and various mythical creatures.
