A RARE KONDH TRIBAL BRONZE GROUP WITH FOUR PEACOCKS
Copper bronze
Eastern India, Kondh Tribe
late 19th – early 20th century
This set gives a very rare insight on how Kondh bronzes were displayed. The group consists of a base with another thin rectangular base with mounts where the peacocks are attached. It is very rare to find a complete set, as usually the bronzes have been split into separate components.
