LARGE ANGKOR PERIOD KHMER CERAMIC OIL VESSEL – 11th/12th CENTURY
Low-fired stoneware, covered with a brittle brown glaze
Khmer Empire, Angkor Period - 11th to 12th century
Highly appealing vessel of large size which functioned as an oil container. With grooves at the neck and shoulder. The neck is flared, and the spout shows an elegant curve. The base is left unglazed.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 36 CM, DIAMETER 20 cm
Condition: Very fine condition with some manufacturing flaws such as cracks to underside
