ANGKOR PERIOD KHMER CERAMIC BALUSTER VASE – 11th/12th CENTURY
Low-fired stoneware, covered with a brittle brown glaze
Khmer Empire, Angkor Period - 11th to 12th century
Raised on a multi-stepped foot, surmounted by a baluster shaped body with rounded shoulder decorated all around with a band of knob-shaped blossoms, the neck presents encircling lines, flaring mouth rim, black-brown glaze running downwards from the blossoms.
Dimensions: HEIGHT 30 CM
Condition: Optical appearance very good, restored neck and side crack, few chips to base
