The Protectress of the Lamas is cast seated on a striding mule, the right arm holding up the hilt of a sword and the left hand held in a mudra. The figure is cast wearing an elephant hide and a celestial scarf, the hair is coloured in red pigment. The donkey stands on a mountain base decorated with waves on the upper surface, the baseplate is decorated with a visravajra.
Provenance: from a private Dutch collection.
Condition: There is wear to the edges and wear to the pigment.
The blade of the sword is missing.
The base of the donkey and stand have been resealed.
