The first is a small gilt bronze seated Padmasambhava wearing a monk?s cap and long robes, holding a vajra in one hand, a skull cap in the other and a staff in the crook of his arm, seated on a single lotus base. The second is a small bronze Amitayus, wearing a five-leaf diadem, with a serene face, with his hands in dhyanamudra and is modelled seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base.
The Padmasambhava: 6.5 cm. high
The Amitayus: 7.5 cm. high
Provenance: from a private Dutch collection.
Condition: The Padmasmbhava:
There is no baseplate.
There are expected wear and dents, particularly to the reverse.
There are two short fine crack to the base (the longer approx. 0.3 cm.)
The Amitayus:
There are minor dents.
There is no baseplate.
