Chinese Qing Dynasty Shendetang mark porcelain bowl. Finely potted in a shape of a simple bowl deep vessel, the rounded cavetto gently rising the sides toward the flat rim, raised upon a concaved foot base conformed with gilt overglaze ring. The exterior delicately decorated in Famille-jaune hand painting of grisaille lotus blooms amidst interlocking vines, all sets over a pale-yellow underglaze ground. The interior and base remain white underglaze. Without overlap of the outlines, its well decorated, clear, subtle, and distinct, the composition is sophisticated and the colors are a feast for the eye.
The under-base bears a reign mark, a four under-glazed iron-red script characters reign mark, Shen De Tang Zhi, "Hall of Prudent Virtue". Measurements: Height: 2 5/8" Diameter: 5 5/8"
