VERY RARE, Chinese Shang dynasty bronze lidded censer. With a cupped body, circular opening, raised on three shallow cabriole legs emerged from Taotie masks. Two huge crescent handles emerged from the lips. With four ascending dragons flanked on either side. The exterior is decorated in scrolling tendril reliefs, and banded with robe patterned ribbon on the central body. The vessel has mottled green hues and a tinge of grayish-brown patina.
