Large Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt over famille rose porcelain buddha. In form of seated Bodhisattvas Buddha figure of Tara, in elaborately dressed figure, elongated ears with looped earring, position of appeasement with serene face. Seated in full lotus position with a ruby-red color silk robe, wearing ornate jewelry, necklaces, and headdress. The robe is delicately hand painted in Famille rose design with various auspicious patterns in gilt overglaze. The left hand rests behind the hip, while right hand rests on the lap, holding a lotus stem elevated the bloom over both shoulders. Elegantly displayed upon porcelain stand in double lotus throne motif in a various tone color. This sculpture appears to be the perfect example, by any artistic tradition, both for technical precision and exquisite form. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
