16/17th C. antique Chinese Ming Dynasty Wanli Emperor Reign Period reserve blue and white wrapped floral Royal porcelain Gu vase. The beaker having baluster shaped body, with cylindrical midsection, a large trumpet-shaped neck extending into an expansive opening, raised on a prominent wide foot base. Pair of vertical flanges emerged on each side of neck, belly, and foot. The astounding artistry fills the entire surface area with interlaced white safflower and vines patterns, central depiction of blue thrashing five-clawed blue dragon image, and Li-Shui waves flanking of white shoulder border. Numerous protruding rings banded along the foot. The drawing are subtle, the immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The underside foot rim left unglazed, displayed a pale-creme with dark-grayish firing spots; while the slightly receded central base remain white under-glazed.
Mark on receded white underglaze central base, a vertical blue under-glazed blue script characters, enclosed within double fine rings, Made in The Years of Wanli Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
