Chinese Ming Wanli Wucai porcelain fish pond. Sturdy and thick potted porcelain deep vessels, steep round sides raises upon narrowed flat base. The exterior vividly decorated with hand-painting in Wucai design, the wider repertoire of opaque colors enamel, applying a variety of five-colored pigments depicted carps swim amidst underwater foliate, seagrass, and other marine flora. Its shoulder bordered with dense of meandering scrolling floral motif. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks.
