A CHINESE IVORY TEA CADDY, QING
China, 18th century. Finely carved and pierced with multiple panels of chrysanthemum, prunus blossom, birds, various court garden scenes, all reserved on diaper and swastika grounds, with silver escutcheon and corner mounts.
Provenance: John Harvey, London, circa 1750, maker’s mark twice to escutcheon. British private collection.
Condition: Stunningly well preserved! Only very small age cracks and minuscule losses, tiny remnants of old paste to edges. Overall the best condition this author has seen in the last 30 years for comparable caddies. Excellent natural patina.

With lined blue silk interior, dating from the earlier 20th century. Matching key with tassel.

中國, 十八世紀。雕刻精緻,開光中飾菊花、櫻花、鳥與庭院景色,萬字符紋為地,銀鎖,四角銀片固定。
來源:倫敦John Harvey,約1750, 銀鎖上有兩個製作工匠的標記。英國私人收藏。
品相:保存完好!只有一個非常小的年代裂縫和微小磕損,邊緣処有舊時粘貼殘餘。總體品相是筆者過去30年中見過的最佳作品。天然包漿極好。
