AN IVORY CABBAGE AND GRASSHOPPER CARVING, QING
China, around 1900. Partially stained ivory. Naturalistically carved in the form of a cabbage, the top with a grasshopper, a ladybird and a caterpillar. On original brocade stand. (2)
Provenance: Collection Frantisek Kastner.
Condition: Excellent condition with one microscopic loss and two minuscule repairs, all only visible under a magnifying glass. The ‘losses’ to the tips of the leaves are intentional. Fine patina. The stand once had a glass cover.

中國,1900年前后。局部染色象牙雕刻白菜、蟈蟈、小甲蟲與毛毛蟲,栩栩如生。原始錦緞底座。

品相:品相極好,一処幾不可見小磕損,兩處微小修復,所有這些都只能在放大鏡下看出。葉子尖端部分的缺損是有意而爲。包漿細膩。曾經有一個玻璃保護蓋。
