Description:
A BAJIXIANG ENAMEL DISH, QING DYNASTY
China, Canton, 18th century. The copper plate finely painted in polychrome enamels on white ground with a mountainous river landscape within a border of the Buddhist emblems, bajixiang, amid lotus blooms. The back with a border of foliate lotus scrolls.
Provenance: By repute acquired by a London collector in the local market ca. 1970. Thence by descent in the same family.
Condition: The front with a single chip to edge and associated hairlines. The back with a 4.5 x 1.5 cm area of loss to enamel, visible on our images at www.zacke.at. Small loss to foot rim touched-up in white.

嘉慶鎏金景泰藍鷓鴣香薰
中國,1796-1820。鷓鴣立於圓形基座上,其頭部轉向一側,微微張嘴露出舌頭。明亮的琺琅,整體施深藍色釉,翅膀彩色釉,與尾羽一起可拆卸。
