China, 19th century. The transverse flute carved of soapstone with an elegant olive-green color with brown hues and an unctuous finish. Drilled with eight irregularly arranged holes.
Provenance: From a French estate.
Condition: Fine condition with old wear and traces of use. One finial missing.
