Description:
A COPPER-RED GLAZED VASE, YUHUCHUNPING
China, 18th-19th century. Raised on a short, slightly flared foot, the bulbous body tapering to the slender neck rising to the flared rim, covered with a crackled glaze of grayish-rosé color slightly shading into grey on one side, the mouth rim and interior glazed light grey.
Provenance: From the Collection of Paul R. Wedendal (1924-2010), Djursholm, Sweden, notable collector of Asian art. Thence by descent.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear, tiny firing flaws and two minuscule glaze flakes to lip.
