The moulded stoneware okimono depicting a male and female pair of fowl with fine incised and moulded feathers to their bodies, seated on a naturalistically depicted tree stump, with splashes of characteristic 'goma' ash-glaze sprinkled over the figures and stump. Two seal marks to the base, unread.
