The tall ovoid vase with original lid covered in a thick copper red glaze, with slight flambe effect around the mouth rim, the unglazed base oxidised orange from the firing.

The footrim extensively chipped from the firing, as the copper red glaze pooled around the foot and stuck to the kiln floor. A chip to the underside of the inner mouth rim.
