Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A fine gathering of two necklaces strung with faience and glass beads of attractive white, turquoise, and blue hues. The first necklace features white faience beads interspersed with blue glass beads, a rectangular natural emerald as the central pendant, and a modern gold-filled chain and loop clasp combo. The longer necklace bears blue-glazed faience tubes that are interspersed with orange faience seed beads, modern metal barrel beads, and a trio of modern stone scarabs, and the terminals are fastened with an oxidized silver loop and ring clasp combo.
