East Asia, China, ca. early to mid 20th century (pre-WWII) CE. An octet of nearly identical jadeite pendants, each with tiny drilled holes for suspension at the top. Each is roughly ovoid with relief carving of a single flower, its bud still closed. They are of varying sizes, though all relatively similar. The coloration is beautiful - ranging from an almost-white blue green to a mossy green with cloudy grey. The others have shades of gold, bronze, and deep blue green. The thickest pendant has a modern gold-plated loop for suspension.
