A PAIR OF HARDWOOD DRAGON CHESTS, QING
China, 1644-1912. The chests carved with two confronting dragons chasing a flaming pearl in high relief, with brass and iron fittings and handles as well as matching brass locks with the original keys. (2)
Condition: Extensive traces of wear, scratches, losses, and age cracks.
Provenance: From the collection of Alexander Popov in Novi Sad, Kingdom of Serbia, acquired between 1900-1920.
Dimensions: Size 42.7 x 95.3 x 63.0 cm each.
