Description
A MASSIVE BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER, LATE MING TO EARLY QING
China, 17th – 18th century. The censer of a semiglobular shape tapering towards the rim, giving the top a biconical appearance. The feet as well as the knobs on the sides are incised with archaistic relief decorations. Apocryphal six-character Xuande mark to the base.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and a beautiful patina with traces of malachite on the interior and around the base.
