A PARCEL-GILT TRIPOD BRONZE CENSER WITH CHILONG HANDLES, QING
China, 1644-1912. The compressed globular body showing an apocryphal Xuande mark and rising from three legs to a short neck with a key fret pattern, with gilt chilong handles attached to the galleried rim and the body.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, dents and nicks.
Provenance: From the collection of Georg Weifert (1850-1937). Thence by descent in the same family. Weifert was a Serbo-Austrian industrialist and the first governor of the Federal Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia.
