A ‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’ BRONZE CENSER, QING
China, 19th century. The unusual tripod censer with a domed and pierced cover depicting dragon and phoenix in fight for the magic pearl, the side with a pierced bat border, the vessel with a lotus border in high relief and to finely cash Buddhist lions as handles.
Condition: Fine dark patina. Excellent condition with some wear, tiny dents and traces of use, mostly to base. The handles on the lid slightly bent towards the center.
