Description
A CHAM GILT HAIRPIN WITH A FINIAL
Central Cham kingdom, 10th – 11th century. A short gold hairpin, the upper part widening to a round end with a multi-storied finial.
Condition: Noticeably worn condition, the three tiny gemstones in the center of the end are missing, some loss of gilt.
Provenance: A private owner, acquired from the collection of Dr. Istvan Zelnik several years ago.
Weight: 14.8 g.
Dimensions: Length 12.5 cm.
Metallurgic analysis: Fine gold content (24K): Weight 13.7 g.
