~ A George III Mahogany Striking Table Clock, signed Fenwick, SoShields, Circa 1780, inverted bell top with carrying handle and acorn finials, fish scale side sound frets, bracket feet, 8-inch arch brass dial signed, date dial, arch with strike/silent selection, twin fusee movement with an anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 57cm high over handle see illustrations 30.01.20 Pediment with one piece of moulding missing, some mouldings are lifting and the joints are separating in parts, case is rubbed and discoloured in parts, dial is faded and needs re-silvering, movement needs cleaning, one movement pillar is missing which has left a vacant hole to the lower side of the backplate and front plate, escapement has been converted from a verge to and anchor escapement, movement in going order.
