Later, he traveled to the southwest and northeast places of interest and walk thousands of miles to broaden the artistic horizon. He returned to Beijing in 1921 and extensively studied the works of famous artists of all ages. He won the essence of traditional art, especially Dr. Shi Tao, Gong Xian and Mei Qing. In 1920, Zhou Zhaoxiang, Jincheng, Chen Shizeng and others initiated the establishment of the Chinese Painting Research Association.
