He has successively served as the President of the Beijing Academy of Painting , a member of the Chinese Artists Association , a vice chairman of the Beijing Branch of the American Artists Association , a representative of the Seventh People's Congress of Beijing, a member of the Standing Committee of the Fifth CPPCC, a member of the Central Liaison Committee of the China Peasant and Democratic Party and a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee.
